Porch:

A roof over either a deck or prepared surface.

Screen Porch:

Traditional screen porch. Mosquito and bug tight, custom made screen inserts for each opening. Insect screen in floor.

A screened porch is more just than a deck with screens. It takes an experienced professional to understand the necessary nuances of building a beautiful new screened-in porch. Screened porches create a tranquil outdoor living area perfect for reading, relaxing, or just enjoying a beautiful North Carolina summer day. Screened porches allow for a quiet, shaded area which also keeps the bugs and mosquitoes at bay!

3-4 Season Room:

Extends season up to 11-11 1/2 months a year in NC with special vinyl windows.

Windows telescope into 3/4 open screen porch but crystal clear windows when want to keep the cold, wind, rain, and pollen out. Often used with a space heater or even gas stove or fireplace and tile floor.

Sun Room:

This room uses real glass for windows with all the advantages and disadvantages. To be classified as a Sun Room in NC, 80% of the walls must be glass. With this classification, the room does not require normal insulation, heating or AC. Often used with a solid floor.

Room Additions:

These rooms require all the normal considerations found in a house. That includes insulation and ventilation in ceilings, floors, and walls. Normally either the home heater/AC will require upgrading or a room unit can be framed into the wall with the condenser coil outside for noise reduction.
